Men's Outdoor Track | 5.12.2009
New York, NY – Changing things up from previous years, the 2009 CUNY Athletic Conference men’s and women’s outdoor track & field championship meet has been broken up into two days, with the first ten events taking place on Sunday and the remaining on Tuesday night. After Sunday’s competition, the defending outdoor champion Hawk men’s team sits in second place, not far behind the leader and indoor season champion Lehman College. These two teams will battle it out tonight for the 2009 championship starting at 6:00 p.m. at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island.

Nancy Olisma (Brooklyn, NY/St. Saviour) had an impressive showing against Division I competition this past weekend, placing tenth out of 18 runners in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.51 and then finished the 200 meter dash at the top of her heat (7th overall) with a personal best of 29.51 at the Saint Peter’s College/New Jersey Institute of Technology Invitational held at Lincoln Park in Jersey City, NJ.

Bayside, NY – The Hunter College men’s and women’s track & field teams opened up their outdoor campaigns on this weekend, competing at the Queensborough Community College Relays in Bayside, NY.
Women's Outdoor Track | 6.02.2008
New York, NY – First-year runner Laura Age (Garden City, NY) has been named as a CUNY Athletic Conference All-Star for her performance this season as a member of the women’s outdoor track & field team. At the conference championship meet, Age won two silver medals while setting personal bests in the 1,500 meter run and the 5,000 meter run. Her time in the 1,500, 5:26.94, was 20 seconds faster than her prior best recorded a month earlier. Then in the 5,000, Age finished 13.94 seconds ahead of her personal best of 20:56.77. She finished the day with 16 points and the team finished fifth overall.

Ewing, NJ – Freshmen Hector Avalos (Staten Island, NY/Johannes Gutenberg) and Patricio Harris (Brooklyn, NY/Clara Barton) continued their strong efforts this season, competing in multiple field events, as the Hawks took part in the TCNJ Invitational this past Sunday held in Ewing, NJ.
