Yevgeny Perepelov (Brooklyn, NY/Keystone National) had an impressive win, defeating Luke Granger 6-1, 6-0 of Skidmore, but the Hawks weren’t able to grab any other matches as they fall to Skidmore College 5-1 after making the program’s first ever appearance in the NCAA Regional Tournament that was hosted by Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont.

New York, NY – The NCAA Division III Men’s & Women’s Tennis Selection Committees released the seeding and brackets for the 2010 Championship Tournaments and Hunter’s men will be heading up to Middlebury, Vermont where they will face Skidmore on Friday, while the women will travel down to Fredericksburg, Virginia to face Mary Washington University in their first round matchup.

Arthur Kapetanakis (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) found himself trailing 3-0 in the first set of his fourth singles match against Ben Jorgensen, but rallied back to win the set 7-2 in the tiebreaker and then won the second set 6-4 to clinch a 5-2 victory over third-seeded John Jay College and send the Hawks to the CUNYAC Championship match where they will face the top-seeded College of Staten Island on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.
