New York, NY – Sophomores Mallory Grubler (Bayside, NY/Cardozo) and Katina Boutis (Pilot Mountain, NC/Salem Academy) have been named as CUNY Athletic Conference First Team and Second Team All-Stars, receptively, as announced by the conference office this week.

New York, NY – The Hunter women’s volleyball team’s season came to a close on Friday night to the hands of the City College of New York 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-20) in the semifinal round of the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship tournament held at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

New York, NY – After defeating the sixth-seeded John Jay College on Tuesday, the Hunter College women’s volleyball team has advanced to the semifinal round of the 2009 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament where they will face the second-seeded City College of New York on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of CCNY.

New York, NY – Sophomore middle blocker Mallory Grubler (Bayside, NY/Cardozo) recorded a post season high 16 kills, while hitting .433 to lead the Hawks to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-9, 25-21) victory over John Jay College in the Quarterfinal round of the 2009 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Tuesday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Women's Volleyball | 10.31.2009
New York, NY – Sophomore outside hitter Christine Luebcke (Jackson Heights, NY/Cardozo) led the Hawks with a total of 34 kills and 49 digs in four matches on Saturday as the Hawks go 3-1 at the 2009 Hunter Women’s Volleyball Invitational that featured five teams including the University of Michigan-Dearborn which was awarded first place after finishing 3-0 on the day.

New York, NY – Freshman middle blocker Jenna Pape (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) hit a season high .800 with eight kills and no errors on ten attempts and also finished with three total blocks to lead the Hawks to a 3-0 (25-2, 25-4, 25-15) over Brooklyn College in a CUNY Athletic Conference match Tuesday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.
