Women’s Tennis Season Ends With 5-0 Loss In NCAA Second Round

Pittsburgh, PA – The Hunter College women's tennis season came to end on Saturday as the Hawks fell to the defending national champion Washington & Lee University 5-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Hunter concludes their 2007-08 campaign with a 21-3 overall record.

Hunter trailed following doubles play, with second and third doubles losing 8-0 and the duo of freshman Elizabeth Feldman (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) and sophomore Evgeniya Kim (Flushing, NY/Cardozo) battled to a 8-5 defeat. The match was then called following Hawk losses at fourth and sixth singles. Hunter is now 2-2 all-time in NCAA Tournament play.
