Staten Island, NY - Senior forward Oscar Dotti (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck), who has scored the Hawks only goals of the postseason, connected with sophomore forward Mauro Ortiz (Brooklyn, NY/EBC Bushwick) for the third time to score today’s only goal and give the Hawks a 1-0 victory over the second-seeded Baruch Bearcats and advance to the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship game to face York College in a rematch of last year’s championship match.

The Hawks scored 21 minutes into the first half and then played stellar defense from there on out to prevent the Bearcats from getting anything going.

Freshman keeper Alexandre Ilic (Miami, FL/Miami Killian Senior High) earned his fifth shutout of the season, making three saves in net.

The Championship match will be played on Saturday, November 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the College of Staten Island.
