Jamiaca, NY – Sophomore outside hitter Eric Barty (Jamaica, NY/Cardozo) had a match high 13 kills, hitting .571 to lead the Hawks to a 3-0 (30-4, 30-6, 30-15) victory over Medgar Evers at the first CUNY Athletic Conference men’s volleyball multi-match of the season, hosted by York College in Jamaica, NY.

Junior outside hitter Christopher Newcomb (Waimea, Kauai, HI/Waimea) finished with ten kills, while junior opposite Marcin Polak (Brooklyn, NY/Fort Hamilton) hit 8-for-8 with no errors and tied a match high four aces. Freshman middle blocker John Gemegah (Jackson Heights, NY/Aviation) also had four aces, and sophomore setter Carl Skonberg (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) added 42 assists.
