All-District Teams
New York, NY – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Thursday, the NABC Division III All-District teams, recognizing the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes in the division, and junior guard
Rocco Rubino (Brooklyn, NY/Archbishop Molloy) was named to the Atlantic Region Second-Team.
In his first season with the Hawks after transferring from Saint Francis College,
Rubino had a breakout year for the Hawks, leading the team to several victories while averaging a team high 18.6 points per game. He led the CUNY Athletic Conference in free throw percentage, shooting 84.5 percent, 53rd highest nationally. He finished the year ranked third in the conference in assists, third in assist/turnover ratio, fifth in scoring, seventh in three point field goals made, and 11th in three-point field goal percentage. For his efforts,
Rubino was voted a CUNYAC First-Team All-Star.

Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest “Phog” Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently claims nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men’s basketball coaches.
