New York, NY – Senior setter Zacarias Ripoll-Cid (Puerto Plata, D.R./John F. Kennedy) recorded a match high ten kills and 23 assists to help lift the Hawks to a 3-0 (30-19, 30-17, 30-20) victory The City College of New York on Tuesday night in a CUNY Athletic Conference men’s volleyball match held at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

Junior outside hitter Christopher Newcomb (Waimea, Kauai, HI/Waimea) hit a match high .643 with ten kills on 14 attempts, and also had a team high of nine digs. Freshmen John Gemegah (Jackson Heights, NY/Aviation) and Braien Otsla (Brooklyn, NY/New Utrecht) each added seven kills for the Hawks.

Hunter (14-7, 10-1 CUNYAC) will now head to New Haven, Connecticut for a match with the University of New Haven (1-4) at 7:00 p.m.
