Farmingdale, NY - The Men's Track and Field team competed at the Farmingdale State Invitational on Saturday in Farmingdale, NY.
In running events sophomore Nikoloz Rekhviashvili (Forest Hills, NY/Forest Hills) led the Hawks with an 8th place finish in the 110 meters high hurdles with a time of 17.94 seconds and an 11th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.01. Freshman Jose Miranda (Staten Island, NY/Xavier) finished in 9th place in the 10K run with a time of 36:45.14. In field events junior Max Zamor (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) finished in 12th place in the shot put with a throw of 10.92 meters and a combined throw of 35-10.00 meters, and finished in 8th place in the javelin with a throw of 37.75 meters and a combined throw of 123-10 meters. Zamor finished in a three way tie for 5th place in the high jump with a jump of 5-08.00 feet.
The Hawks will next be in action next Saturday when they will travel to West Point, NY to compete in the Dick Shea Open.
