New York, NY - The Hunter men's volleyball team completed the three-peat on Saturday, winning the program's third consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship [ECAC] in an intense 3-2 (30-18, 26-30, 30-24, 27-30, 18-16) match against the second-seeded New Jersey City University at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson.

Sophomore middle blocker Eric Barty (Jamaica, NY/Cardozo) led the Hawks against NJCU with 29 kills, while senior setter Zacarias Ripoll-Cid (Puerto Plata, D.R./John F. Kennedy) closed out his four-year career on a high note by being named the tournament's most valuable performer.

In the opening round, the Hawks defeated the fourth-seeded Bard College 3-1 (30-21,30-11, 25-30, 30-15). More information to follow on Monday when statistics from both matches are made available.

Hunter closes out the 2010 season with a 26-11 overall record.
