Meet Results
New York, NY – The Hunter men's outdoor track & field team may have placed fifth overall, but as a team, performed well and recorded season and personal bests while earning seven medals at the 2010 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship meet held on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.
Sophomore
Max Zamor (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) once again led the Hawks in total medal count, winning silver in the hammer with a personal best toss of 25.44 meters. He also took home silver in the high jump with max height of 1.66 meters and also in the shot put with a top throw of 11.59 meters.
Freshman
Joseph Papa (Pittsburgh, PA/Pittsburgh Central Catholic) picked up two silver medals in distance events, finishing the 10000 meter run in 37:09.71 and then the 5000 meter run in 17:16.08. Fellow freshman
Jose Miranda (Staten Island, NY/Xavier) finished third in the 10000 run with a time of 41:39.22.
In hurdle events, sophomore
Nikoloz Rekhviashvili (Forest Hills, NY/Forest Hills) finished the 400 hurdles with a personal best of 59.54 and then placed fourth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.19. In the 1500 meter run, junior
James McArdle (Williston Park, NY/Herricks) recorded a personal best of 4:32.06, while finishing fifth overall.
