Former Hawk wrestler Anthony Romano was awarded the James Gordon Bennett Medal for “acting in the highest tradition and without regard for his own personal safety to rescue a fellow member.” He responded to a fire in Richmond Hill, Queens on the morning of February 26, 2008 and was assigned the outside vent position. Frank, a two-time All-Star, ended the season with a .427 batting average and .819 slugging percentage and collected 34 hits, 32 RBI, seven doubles and six home runs. Behind the plate, she posted a .972 fielding percentage, had 95 put outs and threw out four attempting to steal. Over her career, she has amassed 197 total bases and 11 home runs, both of which rank fourth all-time in the Hawk record books.
