A quintessential multi-sports athlete, Rosa participated in four varsity sports (fencing, archery, basketball, and field hockey) and club sports (tennis and volleyball) in her four years at Hunter. As a member of the fencing team, she was ranked first in New York City in her final two seasons and also healped lead Hunter to two NIWFA Championships. She was named Archer of the Year at Hunter in each of her four years and was inducted into the honorary Archery Association in 1953. She also played one year of varsity basketball and field hockey. As part of the tennis club team, she won doubles-titles as a junior and senior and earned four letters for her participation in volleyball intramurals.
