A four-year member of the men’s basketball program, Barile was considered by some to be the premier player of the 50’s and 60’s. The team captain averaged 17 points per game for four years and was chosen for the Knickerbocker Conference first team All-Star squad twice. He was also selected a first team All-Metropolitan Conference player as he led the Hawks to two consecutive first place team finishes. His career high scoring game was 38 points against the University of Hartland.
