Hunter College Athletics

Coach of the Hunter College women’s fencing team during the 1930’s and 1940’s Smith’s teams won an unprecedented seven national championships, the most of any coach in history of the National Intercollegiate Women’s Fecning Association. Several of his fencers won national titles and represented our country in the Olympic games.
