Hunter College Athletics

One of the finest all-around Hunter athletes of the early 1980’s, Whitaker was a three sport athlete, Competing in track and field, cross country and basketball. Her finest year came in 1982 when she achieved All-American status in the outdoor 400 meter Hurdles (1:06.6), heptathlon (4,160 points) and as part of the long jump relay (32’ 11-1/2” with Sandra Vialet.)
