Hunter College Athletics

A captain and four-year member of the College’s first men’s basketball team, Larry Joseph engraved his name into the record books as the program’s first leading scorer. He led Hunter College to its first winning basketball season ever during the 1953 and 1954 campaigns. According to his teammates, he led by example on and off the court. He was instrumental in developing a strong foundation for both basketball programs.
