Hunter College Athletics

Madeline Dalton spearheaded our women’s fencing team during the 1930’s to several national titles. She was a National Intercollegiate Championship in 1935, a member of our Olympic Fencing Squad and National Champion in 1944. She also competed for the USA in the 1948 World Championships. Professionally she was an administrator for the NYC Board of Education where she developed a program for the developmentally delayed.
