Hunter College Athletics

One of the pioneers of men’s cross country at Hunter College, Frankfurt was the captain of the undefeated Hawk team of 1957. That year, he graduated with honors and was honored by the Bronx Alumni Association as the Most Outstanding Scholar-Athlete. Since graduating, he has continued to support athletics at Hunter College as a founding member of Hunter’s “Spiked Shoe Club.” The club consists of Hunter cross country alumni, who gather and compete in various road races such as the annual Alamo Alumni Run.
