Flushing, N.Y. - The men's tennis team was defeated by the Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington this past Friday, 8-1.  Junior captain Damen Ellingson was the lone Hawk to win his first singles match.

The contest started off with doubles, were the first doubles team composed of Daniel Rabinovich and Paul Saint-Donat were defeated 8-2. The second doubles team consisting of Damen Ellingson and Bilal Naeem dropped a close 8-4 decision and third doubles was blanked 8-0.

Ellingson pulled off a win at first doubles defeating his opponent 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) giving himself his first win of the season. Rabinovich had an extremely close match at second singles, but ultimately fell 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (10-7).

The Hawks are back in action on Thursday, March 28th when they travel to Springfield College to take on the Pride.
