Flushing, NY – The Hunter men's tennis team hosted City College of New York at the USTA National Tennis Center on Tuesday, April 2
nd and defeated them with a score of 7-2.
Hunter's David Joseph and Daniel Rabinovich took on CCNY's No.1 doubles team and won 8-2 to begin doubles competition. In the No.3 doubles, the duo of Kevin Wang and
Binh Luu cruised to an 8-1 victory in their match.
The Hawks fell in the No. 1 singles (6-2, 7-5) but quickly got back on track sweeping the next five singles competitions.
Damen Ellingson won the No. 2 singles (7-5, 6-3), Daniel Rabinovich won the No.3 singles (6-2, 6-3), while
Binh Luu took the No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-0). Bilal Naeem competed at No. 5 singles and won (6-4, 6-1) and Kevin Wang rounded out the Hawks at No. 6 singles winning (6-3, 6-1).
Hunter improves to 2-4 overall and will travel to Brooklyn, NY on April 4
th to face Brooklyn College.
