New York, NY - For the fourth straight year, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Hunter College participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 16th held in Central Park.
"I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Breast Cancer walk in Central Park along side other Hunter Athletes", said Annalise McClellan. "My mom, having cancer herself, makes this event one that is very close to my heart and I look forward to doing more events like this in the future." McClellan is a junior on the softball team and a SAAC representative.
"This is my fourth breast cancer walk with Hunter Athletics and it was definitely one of the best ones", explained Amanda Fursa. "Walking for a cause you truly believe in while being around some of your closest friends is a great way to particiapte in a charity event. I love my fellow Hawks and everything we do for our community." Fursa is the secretary for SAAC and is a senior on the softball team.
SAAC continues to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society throughout the Hunter College community.
