New York, NY – The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) has announced the final 2008-09 standings for the Learfield Sports Director’s Cup in NCAA Division III, and Hunter College has finished ahead of all CUNY Athletic Conference Institutions ranked 168th from more than 400 Division III athletic programs in the nation.

New York, NY – Hunter College will once again play host to one of the premiere basketball summer leagues on the east coast, the Nike Pro City League. A sanctioned NCAA summer league, basketball players from all walks of life including current and former NBA players, college standouts, “local playground legends” and the occasional hip hop star, convene at the Hunter Sportsplex to compete in the league that runs from June through August.

Men's Outdoor Track | 05.27.2009
New York, NY – Freshman Max Zamor (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) has been named the CUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year after earning Most Valuable Performer honors at this year’s CUNYAC Championship meet where he earned 36 points for the Hawks, the most of all male participants.

New York, NY – Junior Noel Marrero (Bronx, NY/Lehman) heads a list of four Hunter men’s tennis players who have earned CUNY Athletic Conference All-Star honors after going 11-4 in singles matches this season, 7-1 in conference play. Joining him on the first-team is freshman Alex Stanciu (New York, NY/Locust Valley) who went 10-1 on the year, 6-0 against conference opponents in his first season with the team.

Men's Tennis | 05.22.2009
New York, NY – Freshman Max Segan (New York, NY/Hunter), who played first singles for the Hawks all season, has been named the CUNY Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year after a 10-5 campaign that included a 7-1 conference record. In addition, head coach Eric Metzger was honored by his peers as Coach of the Year after guiding the Hawks to one of the best seasons in the program’s history, going 12-4 on the year with a 7-1 record in CUNYAC play during his first year at the helm.
