The Student Athlete Advisory Committee exists to develop a sense of school pride among students throughout Hunter College, beginning with student-athletes, and expanding to the rest of the student population. We hope to accomplish our purpose through social events, friendly competition, volunteer work, and community activities. SAAC’s second purpose is to give athletes a “voice” by enabling communication between students and the athletic administration. At our bi-weekly meetings, we address issues or problems that concern student-athletes and the department, as well as provide academic and athletic support for all Hunter student-athletes. Every team is required to have two representatives on the committee who must attend every meeting (or send a replacement otherwise).
