East Stroudsburg, PA – Sophomore Amauche Obi-Eyisi (Anambra, Nigeria/Dority International) had her first top ten finish of the season, taking ninth with a 12.11 toss in the weight throw at the 10th Annual DeSchriver Invitational on Saturday at Koehler Field house in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Also excelling in field events was freshman Trisha Benjamin who placed 23rd in the weight throw and 27th in the shot put, while sophomore Valene Michel was 27th in the weight throw and 30th in the shot put. Obi-Eyisi finished 24th in the shot put with a throw of 9.22.

In track events, freshman Sarah McGovern had the team's top finish, crossing the line 16th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 12:04.43. Junior Iris Suazo-Kundhardt finished 31st in the 200 meter dash with a time of 40.22 and also finished the 55 meter dash in 9.66.

Freshmen Mehida Alexandre and Elsie Akwara finished the 55 meter hurdles in 27th and 28th with times of 11.30 and 11.91 respectively. Fellow freshman Oceane Mercadal closed out the day with a 3:24.26 performance in the 800 meter run.
