New York, NY – The Hunter women's indoor track & field team competed this past Friday at the Lafayette/Rider Invitational with sophomore Amauche Obi-Eyisi (Anambra, Nigeria/Dority International) placing 20th in the weight throw with a max toss of 11.98 meters in the event held at the 168th Street Armory in the Washington Heights section of New York City.

In track events, freshman Astrid Castro ran 8.76 in the 60 meter dash, followed by freshman Mariella Guaman at 11:01. Fellow freshmen Caitlin Logan and Ocean Mercadal finished the 400 meter dash one after the other with Logan crossing the line in 1:15.22 and Mercadal at 1:20.27. In the 60 meter hurdles, Freshman Mehida Alexandre and Elsie Akwara came in after each other at 11.99 and 12.81. Freshman Trisha Benjamin finished 31st in the weight throw with a top toss of 9.73 meters.
