Emman Sarwari pinned Matthew Terry in 6:59 to earn key points that led to a 30-12 victory over Scranton University on Tuesday evening in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Hunter started the match off with a 5-3 decision victory at 125 pounds by
Ariel Guerrero on Mike Murcia. Holding a 12-6 lead after three weight classes, senior
Vitaly Simkin put the Hawks up 15-6 with an 8-2 decision on Tom Manning at 149 pounds. At 157 pounds, junior
Eduardo Delgado improved his season record to 10-3 with a 5-1 decision on Mike Guenther.
Hunter then closed out the match winning the final four weight classes with junior
RJ Klotz shutting out Kevin DiGiulio 6-0, sophomore
Anthony Daly had an 8-2 decision on Nick Genovese and senior heavyweight
Dan Heydebrand took a 3-1 decision on David Domonkos.
This was Hunter's final dual match before the team heads to the Metropolitan Conference Championships on Sunday, February 21. This year's championships are being hosted by the College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.
