New York, NY – After placing in the top three in the 1500-meter run at all four Colgate Games competitions, freshman Lizzy Mahoney (Auburn, NY/Auburn) would end up placing second at the semifinals and then had a repeat performance on Saturday finishing in 5:12.10 at the Colgate Finals held at Madison Square Garden.

This was Mahoney's fastest performance of the season in the 1500, improving .70 from her semifinals time of 5:12.80. The talented freshman will now prepare for the New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Friday, February 5, where she will compete in the 5000-meter run.
