New York, NY – Freshman Lizzy Mahoney (Auburn, NY/Auburn) and junior Jennifer Arozamena (Hoboken, NJ/Woodbridge) had impressive performances in the 3,000 meter run, finishing first and second with times of 11:24.33 and 12:07.83 respectively, while competing at their first CUNYAC Indoor Championship held at the 168th Street Armory.

Competing in her first indoor season, Nancy Olisma (Brooklyn, NY/St. Saviour) earned a silver medal as part of the distance medley relay team and then took bronze in the shot put with a max toss of 8.7 meters. The DMR team of Mahoney, Arozamena, Olisma and freshman Jacklyn Henderson (Oyster Bay, NY/Oyster Bay) finished in 13:43.28, a little over a minute faster than the third place team.

The indoor season now comes to a close for everyone but Mahoney, who will be competing in the 5,000 meter run at the ECAC Championship on Friday, March 5 in Northampton, Massachusetts.
