FLUSHING, NY - Hunter College sophomore hurler Angel Iacovetti has been named CUNYAC/Applebee's Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office earlier this week.

Iacovetti went 1-1 over the weekend highlighted by a 5-2 victory over Castleton College. Iacovetti worked seven full frames to earn the victory, surrendering just one earned run on four hits while striking out 12 batters. She finished the weekend with a 1.93 ERA and a grand total of 19 strikeouts.

Iacovetti and the Hawks return to work this weekend on Saturday, March 17th when they travel to Jersey City, NJ to take on NJCU in a doubleheader scheduled to start at 1pm.
