New York, NY – For the fourth straight week, junior
Vera Pertsovskaya was named the CUNYAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office yesterday.
The Staten Island, NY native led the Hawks once again at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Clash when she covered the 6,000 meter course in a new personal best of 23:53. With that time she earned 226
th place overall and was the fastest runner of all the CUNYAC competitors in the race. She helped the Hawks to a 36
th place finish.
The Purple and Gold will take this weekend off as they gear up for the CUNYAC Cross Country Championship on Sunday, October 30 at Van Courtlandt Park in the Bronx.
