Hall of Fame History
The Hunter College Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1982 through the vision of former Director of Athletics Dr. Charles Brown. Since its inception in 1982, Phil Rosenthal has served as Chairperson of the Hunter College Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. Hunter's current Director of Athletics, Intramurals & Recreation, Terry Wansart, has been involved with the Athletic Hall of Fame informally since 1982 and formally –in her current position – since 1990. The initial induction featured six members in 1982 and has grown to include 102 individual alumni and the undefeated 1941 women's basketball team. Â
