Guerrero ran a strong race this weekend at the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship meet winning the event by covering the 8k course at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY in a time of 28:42. Guerrero and teammate Luis Cabrera paced each other the entire race, but in the final stretch Guerrero was able to get a second ahead to pick up the win and lead the Hawks to their first CUNYAC cross country championship since 2005. The Hawks had four of the top ten finishers and finished with an astounding 34 points, 35 points more than the second place team. This is Guerrero’s second consecutive week being named Athlete of the Week.
