Damroth had an outstanding first week for the Hawks on the mound and at the plate. In four games she batted .385 with four runs and six RBIs. On the mound she was 2-0 in 3 appearances with 18 strikeouts in 14 innings, and a 0.50 ERA. In the second game of a doubleheader against Purchase College (March 17) she batted 2 for 3 with two RBIs. On the mound she pitched two scoreless innings in relief and had three strikeouts. The Hawks stand at 3-1 on the young season and will now travel down to southern NJ for a doubleheader at Stockton College on March 23 at 3:30 p.m. before traveling up to face Mount Saint Mary’s for a doubleheader on March 24 also at 3:30 p.m. They will then open conference play with a doubleheader at Brooklyn College on March 26 beginning at 3:30 p.m. before playing their home opener on March 27 vs. Lehman College at Randall's Island Field #1 for a doubleheader beginning at noon.
