Cruz won all five matches he played in this week for the men’s tennis team. Against CSI (April 20), he teamed with Arthur Kapetanakis at second doubles for an easy 8-3 victory. In consecutive 9-0 wins against York (April 21) and Rutgers-Newark (April 24) Cruz won both singles and doubles matches. For the season against CUNYAC opponents he is currently 4-1 in singles matches and 5-0 in doubles. The Hawks stand at 12-3 overall and 7-1 in CUNYAC play and will head into the CUNYAC Championship tournament as the second seed and will face seventh seed Brooklyn College on May 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
