Can’s first goal of the year happened to be the game winning goal in the Hawks victory last week against the College of Staten Island (September 23). It came in the 23rd minute for the midfielder after receiving a pass from classmate Mario Baez. Can was instrumental in the Hawks defense not allowing a shot during the first half and only 5 shots total in their 2-1 victory.
