Lang takes over a Hawk program that went 20-12 in 2012. The Hawks ranked second in the CUNYAC with a 7-1 record and finished as runner-ups in the CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Championships. Hunter competed as the #6 seed in the ECAC Metro Volleyball Championships and had three student-athletes receive CUNYAC All-Star honors.
 
During the 2006 season, Lang led the Hawks to a 29-7 record and was also named CUNYAC Coach of the Year. She currently has an .806 win percentage the highest in Hunter women's volleyball history.
 
Her experience in the sport of volleyball goes back 22 years, beginning at her high school participating in an after-school program. At the age of 16, Lang attended a tryout for the Y18 Team at Minas Tenis Club, a professional volleyball club in Brazil.
 
During college, she was a middle blocker and outside hitter for the Bank of Brazil Club in Ibitinga, State of Sao Paulo for two consecutive years competing at Regional Tournaments held in Sao Paulo State. Since moving to New York, Lang has been playing at GEVA (Garden Empire Volleyball Association) and Urban Professionals. In 2005, she represented the New York City area at the Empire State Games winning the gold medal that year.
 
She received her bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Universidade Estadual Julio de Mesquita Filho, UNESP-Bauru, Sao Paulo State in Brazil in 1999. In addition she earned professional certificate in various areas related to Education, Health & Wellness including Personal Training and Physical Evaluation for Performance. Lang also holds a specialization degree in Scholar Physical Education K-12.
 
Lang is a native of Araxa, a small town located in Minas Gerais State in Brazil. She has been living in New York since 2004 and currently resides in Astoria, Queens.
