Austin Voges

Men's volleyball head coach Austin Voges will enter his second season at the helm in 2018 after leading the Hawks to one of the most successful seasons in the program's history.

In Voges' first year as head coach, he led the Hawks to a 28-7 record, a CUNYAC championship and a historic trip to the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, he coached Steven Tarquinio to a First-Team All-American honor and libero Joe Muir to a CUNYAC Player of the Year award.

Strong development of young players has been a staple in Vogue's career as he started out as the head volleyball coach of the Long Island Volleyball Club in Dix Hills, N.Y. in 2004. Over his 10 year tenure, each one of Voges' teams earned a bid to the USA Volleyball National Championships.

His time at the Long Island Volleyball Club prepped him to take over the position of assistant men's volleyball coach at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2011. Over three seasons, Voges helped the Ducks to a 15-5 conference record and one NCAA Championship appearance.

He added to his collegiate resume in 2013 when he was hired as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball team at Stevens, guiding the squad to a perfect 7-0 league record and a regular season conference championship.

Most recently, Voges has spent the past two season as the head coach of the boy's varsity volleyball team at Seward Park High School, as well as a head coach with the Gotham Volleyball Club. He has juggled his coaching jobs with his career as a high school physical education and health teacher since 2012.

Earning his Bachelors of Science in physical education from Long Island University – CW Post in 2005, Voges is a CAP I and CAP II certified coach by the USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation Program.
