New York, NY – Junior outside hitter/setter Amanda Kamm (Dix Hills, NY/Hills West) led the Hawks with 13 kills, ten assists and six digs to their eighth conference win, defeating Lehman College 3-0 (30-16, 30-21, 30-16) Tuesday evening at the APEX Arena in the Bronx, NY.

Senior middle blocker Shanita Scott (Pelham, NY/Pelham Memorial) notched seven kills on 13 attempts without an error for a .538 hitting percentage, while senior outside hitter Safiya Solomon (Mount Vernon, NY/Pelham Memorial) and sophomore outside hitter/libero Lauren Auerbach (Tucson, AZ/Salpointe Catholic) each tallied six kills and four digs.

The Lightning received contributions from senior outside hitter Yohanna Sufran (Manhattan, NY/Washington Irving) who finished with a team high seven kills and freshman outside hitter Cresset Maxwell (Bronx, NY/Fashion Industries) added five kills and four digs.

Tonight's victory improves the Hawks to 16-9 overall and keeps them atop the CUNYAC with an 8-0 conference record. The Lightning fall to 6-13 overall and are tied for fifth place in the conference with a 4-4 CUNYAC record.

The Hawks return home on Thursday, October 18 when they host Saint Joseph's College for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference match. In their last meeting, the Hawks defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0 at the Vassar Tournament on September 8, 2007.
