New York, NY – Senior forward
Gerard Ciarleglio (Bradenton, FL/Cardinal Mooney) became the all-time leader in career three-pointers made, surpassing current head coach Nick Plevritis' record of 170 set in 1999, en route to an 83-76 victory over the Devils of the College at Florham on Monday evening in men's basketball action at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Joseph DeLuca who headed to the bench with just two points in 12 minutes and 17:07 left in the game. FDU would sink a couple of free-throws to take a 45-43 lead, but the Hawks quickly answered back as junior forward

The Hawks would then watch a six point advantage disappear in a couple of plays as the Devils made one last push, taking a two point lead (68-66) with 6:50 left in the game. Hunter would respond with a 12-6 run to end the game.
FDU guard
Ryan McPherson (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) led all scorers with 30 points and ten rebounds, while 6-8 center
Ricky Fetske (Egg Harbor, NJ/Absegami) added 15 points and a team high 12 rebounds in defeat.
Junior forward
Frantz Millien (Rockland, NY/North Rockland) had another solid game for the Hawks, finishing just three assists away from a triple-double as he scored 16 points, pulled down 13 boards and tallied seven assists.
Tonight's victory stretches the Hawks win streak to four games as they move to 5-3 on the year, while the Devils fall to 1-8 overall. Hunter will now get a long break as they do not return to action for almost three weeks when they travel to Newark, NJ to face the Scarlet Raiders of the Rutgers University at Newark on Sunday, December 30 at 3:00 p.m.
