New York, NY – Freshman forward Anthony Intrabartolo (Glendale, NY/Christ the King) netted his first career hat trick to lead the Hawks of Hunter College to their first victory of 2007, 6-1 over the Maccabees of Yeshiva University Monday evening in a non-conference men's soccer match-up at the Metropolitan Oval in Queens, NY.

The Hawks (1-4) broke out to an early two goal lead following a goal by sophomore Andreas Kalpaxis (Glendale, NY/Townsend Harris) and Intrabartolo's first goal of the evening, the eventual game-winner. Yeshiva (0-1) would answer back on a goal from Ariel Mamane, cutting the lead in half at around the 39:00 minute mark.

Hunter would go on to shutout the Maccabees in the second half, scoring four unanswered goals, including two from Intrabartolo. Junior midfielder Dwayne Bartholomew (Trinidad/El Dorado Secondary) led the Hawks with two assists.

Sophomore keeper Noah Fessler (Metuchen, NJ/Metuchen) played a solid game, making seven saves and allowing just one goal to earn his first victory of the season. Danny Rosenthal made eight saves in net for the Maccabees.

The Hawks will open up conference play when they return to action on Wednesday, September 12, facing off against New York City Tech at Flushing Meadows Corona Park for a 3:30pm contest.
