Queens, NY – Junior Monica Calungcagin (Valley Cottage, NY/Nyack) and freshman Elizabeth Feldman (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) led the way for the Hawks, winning first doubles 8-1 and winning first and second signles 6-0, 6-0 each to give Hunter a 9-0 victory over the City College of New York in CUNY Athletic Conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon at the National Tennis Center in Queens, NY.

Freshman Anna Vagner (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) picked up her second career win at fourth singles (6-0,6-0) and also took her doubles match alongside teammate senior Antigone Tzakis (Queens, NY/St. John's Prep) 8-0. Tzakis earned her fourth win of the season and remains unbeaten in conference matches in her four-year career.

Rounding things out for the Hawks were sophomores Alyssa Wheeler (New York, NY/Franklin Lane) and Carolyn Jones (Killeen, TX/Killeen) who took third doubles 8-1 and Linda Ravul (Little Neck, NY/St. Mary's) who won sixth singles 6-0, 6-0 to improve to 2-0 in singles competition on the year.

The Hawks return to action on Tuesday, September 25 when they will face rival Baruch College for a 3:30 p.m. match from the National Tennis Center in Queens, NY.
