Newburgh, NY – Sophomore forward Andrea Buckham (Jamaica, NY/Flushing) recorded her fifth double-double of the season and third 20+ point performance with 22 points and 15 rebounds, but the Hawks would fall to the Skyline Conference's top team, Mount Saint Mary College, 75-53 in non-conference women's basketball action Wednesday night at the Kaplan Center in Newburgh, NY.

The Blue Knights were led by senior Jackie Markert (Voorheesville, NY) who scored a game high 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting and senior Vanessa Lawson (Kingston, NY) who tallied 17 points including her 1,000th career point. Mount Saint Mary now improves to 11-1 on the season and extended their win streak to seven games.

Sophomore guard Shay Branch-El-Vielot (Cambria Heights, NY/Canarsie) was the only other member of the Hawks to finish in double-figures, scoring 15 points in a full 40 minutes of action.

The Hawks fall to 2-10 on the year, but remain 2-2 in the CUNYAC with a key matchup on Friday when they host the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island who enter the game with a 4-0 conference record. The game is set for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off, following the men's game also against the Dolphins.
