Kamm’s 18 Kills Lead Hawks Past Vassar, 3-1

Cortland, NY – Senior opposite Amanda Kamm (Dix Hills, NY/Hills West) finished with a team high 18 kills, .341 hitting percentage, to help lead the Hawks to a 3-1 () victory over Vassar College in the team's second match of the Cortland Invitational Friday night in Cortland, NY.

Senior outside hitter Olga Petrenko (Bronx, NY/Environmental Studies) had a big match for the Hawks, finishing with a double-double of 14 kills and 23 digs, while sophomore setter Stephanie Broome (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) tallied a match high 32 assists.

Earlier in the day, the Hawks fell to the host Cortland Red Dragons 3-1 (). On Saturday, Hunter is set to face Fredonia State at 10:00 and Wilkes University at Noon. Fredonia State went 2-0 in the first day, picking up wins against CCNY and Cortland, while Wilkes is 0-2 with losses to CCNY and Geneseo.
