Hawks Come From Behind For Climatic 78-77 Victory

Madison, NJ – Trailing 75-71 with 1:26 left in the game, senior guard Emiljano Kinaj (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy) helped spark a 7-3 run with four points to close out the game and earn a 78-77 come from behind victory over Farleigh Dickson-Florham in a non-conference men's basketball game Monday night in Madison, NJ.

Kinaj finished the game with a team high 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals. Three other starters finished in double figures for the Hawks with senior forward Joseph DeLuca (Maspeth, NY/Christ the King) scoring 16, senior guard Nicholas Flagg (Queens, NY/Cardozo) putting in 14 and senior forward Frantz Millien (Rockland, NY/North Rockland) adding 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Devils were led by senior guard Ryan McPherson (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) who scored a game high 37 points, sinking 9-of-9 from the free throw line and 6-of-8 from downtown. Three other Devils finished in double figures.

The Hawks have now won their third straight game to improve to 4-3 on the season, while FDU falls to 2-5. The Hawks will be back in action on Wednesday, when they head to Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA for a 7:00 p.m. game.
