Christine Luebcke (Jackson Heights, NY/Cardozo) had a season high seven kills, hitting .455 during a 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-10) win over York College in a CUNY Athletic Conference women's volleyball match Tuesday night in Jamaica, NY.
Sophomore middle blocker
Tracey Igwe (Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton) had a monster match, matching a season high of six kills while hitting .857 (6-0-7) and also added two aces and two total blocks. Senior opposite
Amanda Kamm (Dix Hills, NY/Hills West) was the overall kills leader in the matching, finishing with nine, hitting .643, while freshman setter
Katina Boutis (Pilot Mountain, NC/Salem Academy) had 17 assists.
The Hawks now stand at 10-1 on the season and 5-0 in the CUNYAC. The Hawks return to action on Thursday when they travel to Wayne, NJ to face William Paterson University of the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Pioneers are currently 10-2 overall and are in fifth place in the NJAC.
