Maka Thomas (Queens Village, NY/Martin Van Buren) dominated in the paint, scoring a career high 24 points to help the Hawks snap a nine game skid with a 90-86 victory over the College of Staten Island in a CUNY Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon in Staten Island, NY.

Frantz Millien (Rockland, NY/North Rockland) also played a big role in the Hawks success today, scoring 21 points, shooting 8-of-10 from the field, and pulled down a game high 11 rebounds. Senior guard
Nicholas Flagg (Queens, NY/Cardozo) was the only other Hawk to finish in double figures, scoring 12 points.
Staten Island had four finish in double figrures led by just forward Christian Montervino (Trenton, NJ/Ewing) and freshman guard Mike Pulci (Staten Island, NY/Farrell) who each scored 24 points.
The Hawks are back in action on Monday, when they travel to New London, Connecticut for a non-conference game with Connecticut College at 7:00 p.m.
