Poughkeepsie, NY – Junior opposite Tracey Igwe (Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton) finished with a team high eight kills, hitting .357, in a tough 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-21) loss to non-conference opponent Vassar College on Wednesday night in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Sophomore middle blocker Mallory Grubler (Bayside, NY/Cardozo) hit a team high .364 with five kills, while fellow sophomore Christine Luebcke (Jackson Heights, NY/Cardozo) added five kills and seven digs. Sophomore setter Katina Boutis (Pilot Mountain, NC/Salem Academy) tallied 22 assists for Hunter.

The Hawks will resume conference play when they are back in action next Tuesday, October 20, hosting Brooklyn College for a 6:00 p.m. match at the Sportsplex.
