New York, NY – After taking a 3-0 lead following doubles play, sophomore
Ericka Jaramillo (Jamaica, NY/Townsend Harris) and junior
Anna Vagner (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) put away their opponents to give the Hawks a 5-0 victory over the Lightning of Lehman College and advance to the program's 20th consecutive CUNYAC women's tennis championship match where the Hawks will meet Baruch College for the ninth time on Tuesday.
The Hawks started off the match with
Vagner and junior
Jessica Yi (Queens, NY/Newport) winning their third doubles match 8-1. Then senior
Evgeniya Kim (Flushing, NY/Cardozo) along with her partner
Jaramillo, took down the first doubles team 8-3, followed by junior

Stefanie Smith (Little Neck, NY/Cardozo) winning second doubles 8-4.
Jaramillo then won her fifth singles match 6-1, 6-0 to put the Hawks up 4-0. On the next court,
Efimenko was serving 40-15 with a 5 game lead and up a set, but before she could record her final point for the victory, Lehman's Aurora Peters hit a ball out of bounds to give
Vagner a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles and thus ending the match.
