Hawks Remain Unbeaten with Shutout of John Jay

Flushing, NY – The Hunter women's tennis team remains unbeaten through nine matches after shutting out the John Jay Bloodhounds Friday night, 9-0 in a CUNY Athletic Conference match at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

Senior Evgeniya Kim improved to 10-1 on the season with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Ashley Marrero at first singles. Sophomore Ericka Jaramillo made her second singles debut with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Seidron Snipe. Senior Bomi Park then picked up her third win of the year with a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Junior Jessica Yi earned the second victory of her Hawk career, taking fourth singles 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore Olga Gervits and senior Alyssa Wheeler wrapped things up with wins at fifth and sixth singles respectively.

Hunter will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they head down to Pomona, NJ for a Noon non-conference match with Richard Stockton.
